I had to cancel most things for this just for a week as I attend the funeral and figure out legal proceedings, but I brought a Sony Fs5 with me because video felt right to me, and it was cathartic during this process. Everything is getting planned out again.
I have my first interview with Kasandra this weekend as we will discuss the project and everything I hope to capture, goals, etc. while also seeing what she believes would be important in the project and her story.
Research-wise, I’m scheduling those interviews to hopefully get 1-3 done during spring break. I’ve also compiled a list of all the people I’ve asked and responses so far, and will be adding more people to the list. If I can get the four I’ve gotten to follow through, I believe 1-2 more interviews would be a good amount and would probably stop around there based on Robert’s suggestion of less during the proposal.
Using the proposal for my project and a portfolio that resembles what I want to do with this project as my application, I won the NPPF Bob Baxter Scholarship (still confidential until Monday, Mar. 23.).
